We are outdoor enthusiasts and we have been exploring the outdoors and camping all of our lives in tents, cab-over campers and small trailers. Nearly a decade ago, we bought our first toy-hauler and in 2021, we bought our first fifth-wheel that's more than 35 feet long and over 13 feet tall. What we have learned is that many people like the outdoors, but the planning for camping can be overwhelming.
The focus of RigReady Travel is to share our experiences in researching, planning and traveling. While we focus our planning on exclusively trips in large rigs because there are additional considerations when planning and traveling with larger rig, but any size rig is welcome!
Who Are We?
RigReady travel is brought to you by a married partner team -- Marlon and Shelly who reside in northern California. We travel between 30 - 90 days a year.
Marlon is retired and spent his professional career working on and supervising maintenance on passenger vehicles and heavy equipment. Shelly is an active partner in an Ad Agency and spent most of her career in public relations and advertising.
We are both natural researchers and planners and we genuinely enjoy planning our trips. We have learned since purchasing our bigger 5th wheel a few years ago, that our trip planning got a bit bigger also. We often get asked questions about our travels, in particular how we planned our vacations, because we always have a fabulous time. Our hope that you find the information helpful as well.
